Many years ago, Charles invented and submitted to Parker Brothers for productive consideration a game called ECONOMY. Players assumed the roles of world leaders manipulating technology, resources, population, education/training... to produce the most "products". The game was rejected because there was a war option in it that allowed players to, instead of training/educating their population, put them in fighting forces that would simply capture products from other countries– instead of producing anything. Was that a lesson to be learned from the game or a flaw in the design or both? Hmmm.
