BUX application to life
Knowledge alone is insufficient preparation for today's young people about to face an uncertain, competitive world. As we know, the world is mostly economic. Yet high school economics is less than 1/20th (5%) of the social science curriculum. Why this need-supply gap?
Used as a teaching tool, it is possible that the BUX Process could help bridge this gap. Yielding benefits, this tool includes the BUX game and a written presentation for an optional related process. When used as intended, the process hacks the material future of young people by having them experience their material futures now. Could such a game-based process for education and life preparation help them see their ways to their futures?
What if young people could have fun while quickly learning practical-personal-productive economics at a million words per hour? And what if we could deliver confidence, self-esteem, self-discovery, hope, meaning, structure, focus, clarity and motivation in a box?
With a little imagination, we can do this.
By introducing (young) people to a gambling-style (but not gambling) game, we can subliminally challenge them to experience the BUX Achievement Method. In doing so, they could develop successful, personally productive lives after they have made some game-life comparisons and connections. The upshot is that they will have an increased chance of overcoming income inequality, see new opportunities and participate in a bottom-up process to better themselves and others.
